Why YouTube Is the Secret Weapon Struggling Restaurant Owners Need
I started working with Chef Sabina Jules a couple of years ago when she responded to one of my emails just like the one that brought you here.
We got her cooking show started and I reached out to one of the editors at a major publication in our region (Washingtonian Magazine) and pitched him the idea of doing a story on her.
He agreed and here's the article he wrote.
And below is the message that I received from Sabina after the article came out.
Growing Her Business
Winchester, VA is 50 miles away from the restaurant and in another state.
Berryville, VA is 45 miles away from the restaurant and in another state.
Leesburg, VA is 25 miles away from the restaurant and in another state.
These are customers who traveled a great distance to visit a restaurant that they otherwise would never have heard of.
The reason they did that is because they read about the restaurant in Washingtonian Magazine.
The reason Washingtonian Magazine wrote about the restaurant is because I helped Sabina create her cooking show and then sent it to a media outlet…just like I did a couple of weeks ago to get Cheron on the local news twice in one week.
If you want the media to pay attention to what you're doing, then you have to be doing something interesting and unique.
There is nothing interesting or unique about posting on Instagram with 50 million other chefs.
YouTube Works For Restaurants
YouTube has paid over $100 BILLION to YouTube channel owners in just the four years between 2021 and 2025.
YouTube is the biggest source of revenue that most restaurants are NOT leveraging.
Here’s a Michelin-starred chef facing eviction over unpaid rent.
Everybody is wasting time and energy posting on Instagram and getting little or no benefit from it.
YouTube is actually less work (once you learn how to use it) and it produces WAY bigger results.
Why DC Restaurants Are Closing
Share this with a restaurant owner you know.
Because a lot of these restaurant owners are struggling mightily on a daily basis, working way too many hours and just barely paying their bills.
It does not have to be that way.
Implementing a YouTube strategy can turn owning a restaurant from a nightmare into a dream.
Sabina just opened a second restaurant, by the way.
YouTube just makes it WAY easier to make money with a restaurant so you can have free time and actually enjoy your life.
