Working While Black - Episode 18 - Calvin McCargo, Jr.

As Calvin shares during his interview, one source of immeasurable stress for Black professionals is having to work every minute of every day knowing that if you make a mistake, you're not an individual who made a mistake.

As a Black professional, you're a representative of all Black people everywhere and your mistake will make things even harder for any Black people who come behind you.

That's a lot of pressure. All day, every day.

This is just one contributor to the high blood pressure and hypertension and other underlying conditions that are making covid so much more deadly in the Black community.

And when has a white male ever made a mistake and people just wrote off white people as being unqualified for that task or profession?

Who's been over-represented in the C-suite leading into all these recessions we keep ending up in?

Think about it.
